Scott Holtzman won his pro-debut fight in impressive fashion against Brandon Demastes at XFC 16! Scott looked really good and definitely made his mark by dominating all areas of the fight. Scott has never let a fight go to the judges, and this fight was no different. He finished the fight via rear choke in Round 2. Scott is a great fighter and an even greater person. We couldn't be more proud!
Amy Coleman won her second fight by TKO in Round 2. Her opponent was Katie Dorman, who left no doubt she was there to fight and showed incredible heart! These girls won Fight of the Night honors with their performance in the cage. Amy just fought 2 weeks ago and already showed huge improvements in this fight. Amy demonstrated awesome jiu-jitsu! Her hunt for a submission was "text book", then finished the fight with devastating strikes from the mount. When we went backstage, all the other fighters and trainers chanted "Amy! Amy! Amy!...". Once again, Amy, you made us all proud.

Congratulations to everyone who received a new belt Friday night...you earned it!! I'm soooo proud of the kids in our program and the families they represent. The crazy thing is, these kids have only scratched the surface of what they WILL be able to do. It's an exciting journey and I'm honored to guide them.
Matt Traylor deserved to win before he ever stepped into the cage this weekend! He's the best he's ever been and knows we're proud of him, despite the loss. Traylor and Lyons were the Main Event at a show in Mississippi and they put on a show only 2 warriors could have. An unbelievable display of toughness and heart by both fighters. Even though Lyons won, he was seen leaving the venue in a wheelchair. That should give you an idea of the kind of match it was and the type of fighters they are.
